| Yay for the Iowa Caucus winner |
So, yay. Obama won the Iowa caucus for Democrats. I'm happy about that. He's who I'm rooting for, and hopefully this is the beginning of his running towards the presidency. I went over to my other grandma's today, because I was extremely bored. And I'm happy, because my uncle is going to take me to see Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street tomorrow! I didn't think I'd ever get to see it, but apparently I will. School is a mere few days away. I need to do a lot of stuff. First of all, get through all my DVD's I got for Christmas. Then I need to clean out my bag, and organize it. And I need to study a bit, because Miss Davis hinted that the prefix-suffix test might be the Monday we get back, just to see who studied. And Regional auditions are coming up quick, and I really don't have the music down yet. I need to get it down, I need to make it. To show Latham he was an idiot for not making me concert master, because I know Abby can't make it. |

| Merry post/nearly Newmas! |
Yeah, well I haven't posted in awhile, so I decided I'm rolling a Merry Christmas in with a Happy New Year. Well, Christmas was pretty good. I got a lot of toe socks. And some other stuff. A lot of DVD's, ones that I wanted too. I guess it was pretty good. And my cousin and brother got a Wii, so I have an opportunity to play on it. It's pretty cool. Finally got a new jacket. My grandma had 10 dollars Kohl's cash, so I got this pretty nice jacket, I think it was around thirty bucks originally, got it for about five, since it was also on sale. It's pretty nice, I like the color. Don't know if it's going to be warm enough for Europe, but I can always take two with me. Speaking of Europe, I got my luggage today. There was some at Kohl's, it was Jansport, black with various colored polka dots, but it was 110 dollars for just one suitcase, the big one. I ended up getting this nice luggage at Steinmart, two pieces for 112 dollars. And they turn 360 degrees, which is neat. Umm....I kind of wish school was back in already. I'm bored with break, and I have a week more. But hey, only have on more semester of high school until I graduate!! But that means the pressure is on, I really need to get some more scholarships in, and hope I get them, and I still haven't send in my college application, because my mother won't pay for me to send it. I swear, she wants me to fail in life, seriously. Oh, and that reminds me of something else. I'm 18, I think in all that time, with how well I've done in school, and how hard I work and everything, I should deserve to go to Europe. But if it weren't for my grandparents I wouldn't be going. My grandparents paid more on my trip than my mother did. After she promised, then said we would pay up to where we needed by November, it never happened. She put 100 dollars more on it in early December, bringing me to a grand total of 700 something dollars. So my grandma put the rest of it on her charge card. But what really amazes me is that she can do all this stuff for my brother. They're planning on taking him to Magic Mountain for a few days when I'm in Europe. It's around 50 bucks or something for a day there for one person. Yet they can afford it for him. Also, for my passport, my grandma had to take me for it. I had to pay the hundred dollars for it, so now I have even less spending money for March. Also, my yearbook. For the past few years, I told my mom I didn't need a yearbook, so I didn't get one. I told her this year I really wanted one, and to get my name on it, since it's my senior year, but nope, couldn't get it at registration. So she told me when she got paid again then we would get my yearbook. Well, can't buy them anymore, and I didn't get one. I wanted a yearbook, that was it, but nope. Yet, at registration she could get my stupid brother an activity card, so he could go to games and stuff. He said he would use it, but guess what? Half a year done, and he has yet to use it! They always waste money on him and he never uses or needs whatever it is. Pisses me off quite a bit. Well, about a half hour until new years. So this is the end of my posts for this year I guess. |

| Hamlet, a dream guy?? |
Finally, school's out!...for the semester at least. It all ended with the most boring class ever. But in orchestra we did secret santa, and Janelle had me. So she got me a pirate hat, and a bunch of other little things. And she made me cookies, and her baking is great. Then, because Orchestra is way better than band, we all pitched in a couple dollars, and got Latham a new stool. His old one is crap, it's falling apart. And in AP Gov we had nothing to do, so Mr. Bee let us play a game, boys vs. girls, and the girls kicked butt. Now, I need to try and figure out what I'm going to do next semester. I really hate chemistry, it's super boring, and he takes us along so very slowly. I don't really want to do it anymore, way to boring and easy, but I don't know what I could take for a seventh hour instead. I could just not have one, and go home, but sometimes I need to stay afterschool for something, and plus I won't get the honor point for s full schedule, and I need it. I'm thinking about maybe peer tutoring for AP US History, but the teacher, Ms. Cairns, I had her sophomore year for World History, and I got the impression she didn't like me. I don't know, I'll probably think it out over winter break. But, as for the title, I just thought it interesting. We just finished reading Hamlet in AP English, and so we were watching the movie. So at the end my teacher, Ms. Aikman, she said that if she could date anyone it would be Hamlet, because he's handsome and smart and brave. Her only complaint was that he might be a bit short. I wonder if she's told her boyfriend about that. Another interesting little story. Miss Davis was telling us this interesting story yesterday. Because she doesn't normally swear, and she said hell yes when we were going over some questions. And so they said she doesn't usually swear, though someone pointed out that earlier she had said bitch. And so she told us that story. Apparently, when she used to have Christmas parties, on year almost everyone had left, and she, Mr. Pool, Mr. Devlin, and Mr. Bee were sitting around, talking. So Bee asked her what her theory on evolution was or something like that. So she asked him is he meant like punctuated equilibrium. So he then out of the blue called her a pretentious bitch. I thought that was a bit... odd. Blah, nothing good to talk about really other than that. Uh, I have karate tonight, testing. I should do well, hopefully. Okay, over. |

| How difficult can it be to find a Bjork CD? |
So there isn't much to write about. I guess I can tell I got some stuff on the Bio area, though that isn't much. But it's there if you'd like to look at it, tells a bit about me I guess. I don't remember ever getting such annoying, incessant spam before on here. I just deleted a bunch of crap this afternoon, just had to do some more. Very annoying. Go figure my brother got a new phone for his birthday, even though it isn't for a few more days. I'm rather pissed, mainly because my mother can spend 100 dollars on a phone for him rather than paying the fifteen dollars so I can send my application in to U of A. At this rate I won't be able to send it in before school if over for the semester, so I won't be able to have the school send my transcripts to the university. Well, I have a pretty good shot of getting an A in my classes. I already finished with final and all in chemistry, and have finished the entire semester with a 99.4%. If you're wondering, I haven't fallen below a 99.3% in that class, that is how simple it is. Right now I have an 89.8% in AP English, so once she puts the Hamlet journals and personal novel journal points in, I'll have an A. And we don't have a final in there. If I can get at least an 82% on my AP Gov final, then I can keep my A in there, and I think I can do that. And if I get an A on my AP Bio final then I'll be able to get an A in there. If I can actually do that, then I'll raise my GPA, and probably get myself into the top 3% of my class. Right now I'm in the top 4%, which isn't bad, but I want to be in at least the top 3% when I graduate. I'm somewhat irritated that every store I check I cannot find a Bjork CD. I guess I'm going to have to try and just get a iTunes card and get the songs I want from there. That might be a bit better anyways, because I like pretty much all her songs, but the ones I really like are all from like three or four different CDs. |

| Movie, Anime, and all the other stuff |
So, last night I went to see The Golden Compass. I mus admit, it was rather good. However, because of that I missed karate, so now I need to figure out how to make up 2 classes on between Monday and Wednesday, and I'm not sure if they all have a class. This wouldn't be a problem, but I have a stupid orchestra concert Thursday, so I have to miss my normal class. And since we had the time messed up, we went walking around in the mall for a bit. There's this new anime store there, I was so excited!! It doesn't have everything, but it has quite a bit, a good amount of FMA stuff, though it could do with more One Piece, which I just noticed is on in a few minutes. But I got a Luffy plushie, and a keychain of Ed from FMA. I'm definitely going back there though, very awesome. It rained again this weekend, not as much though. Only a drizzle yesterday really, and today only in the very early morning. And...grr, I can't figure out much to say right now. Oh, I made the mistake of going with my aunt and grandma shopping again, but I won't get into that though. Not really important. So I guess I'm done blogging for now. See what happens when I do it often? Nothing in my life. |

| Check out the awesome new layout |
Like the new layout? Megan was kind enough to make me a new one, as a belated b-day present I suppose. Thank you Megan, looks very nice. And that's Natalie Portman for everyone who doesn't know. Anyways, I don't have much to say, or much time. Just slowly working on my English homework, one problem about AP English, there's essays to write constantly. If I can just get the ideas to go in my mind, no doubt it'll be easy. The question I chose is easy, for at least the book I read. And...hmm, I don't know, not much else. Stupid concert next week is screwing my karate up. I needed to make up a class this week and next, but of course I can't even be at class next week, because there's an orchestra concert. Oh, and that brings me to something else. Abby wanted to do a sectional, and so we agreed on Wednesday, today, after school. Today during class we did sectionals, like we always do Wednesdays because they're short days. So Lynn and I were practicing regional music, and just because Rebbecca can't make it, we're not having one. Honestly, just because it's inconvenient for her friend we can't do it, even though tomorrow is inconvenient to my and Lynn. So I'm done complaining, need to get back to homework. But yeah. |

| Honor Orchestra was murder |
Right, so this weekend has officially been ruined. First of all, had District Honor Orchestra this weekend. Missed school on Friday- good thing. Had to play violin for at least 6 hours, nearly consecutively, on very uncomfortable chairs while it rained for the first time in ages- bad thing. Then when we were leaving to get back to Apollo, the rain started coming down really hard. We had to run from the auditorium at Moon Valley to where the bus would pick us up. And go figure, we get there and the stupid thing isn't even there, so we're standing in the rain, selves and cases getting soaked (my shoes still aren't dry). Then, when we get back to school, Lynn gave me a ride home. It was murder getting to the car. The puddles were so bad, the place where the lunch area patio ends and parking lot begins, there was this HUGE puddle, around maybe 4 1/2 or 5 feet long, I'm guessing around a foot and a half to two feet deep. I needed to get over it, so I tried to jump. Didn't want to jump to much, because I was afraid I was going to slip and fall flat on my face in the nasty puddle. Well, I made it about half way, my pants were completely soaked, at least half a foot up them. Then there were puddles all over the parking lot, and when she tossed me the keys, and everything was so slippery, I dropped them. So it took me a couple minutes to get in the car. Then the ride home...the water was really deep everywhere, there's really bad drainage for some reason. Normally she turns at the park to take me home, but the water was so bad there, we thought it was best to take a street up. But they were all bad, so finally we drove all the way up to Mountain View, near my old elementary school, and turned there. So then, with everything but my shirt soaked (I had my sweatshirt on, so that was soaked), I ran into the house barefoot, because I didn't want to wear those wet shoes. ROAR! One Piece is over for this week, I hate that. They were about to finally make it to Sky Island! I wish it was an hour long, not just a half hour. One Piece is such an awesome show. Of course, I have to turn the channel right before it comes on and after, since it's surrounded by stupid shows (Naruto before, DBZ after). But yeah. Speaking of TV, Avatar was pretty awesome last night. For all of those who don't know what that is, the actual name is Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'd really suggest watching it. Anyways, it was pretty good. You know, Fire Nation was a bunch of cowards and everything. Sokka was an idiot as usual. Azula was an evil deceitful bitch like she always is, Aang shaved his head, though he looked better with hair, and... well, Iroh did what I thought he would, pretty glad Zuko had his act together and is going to join the Avatar movement. Oh, and Megan (the actual person, not a character in the show) has an odd, somewhat sick mind. Azula and Combustion Man being together, having evil firebending children. No. So, I should get to what happened today during honor orchestra. So in the morning it wasn't too bad, just windy. Practice was crap, but whatever. I do not want to get into the clinician. All I'm going to say is, which has nothing to do with how annoying he is, is that I have trouble believing he isn't gay. He certainly seemed it. But he apparently has a wife and kid, so...yeah. Anyways, after morning practice, for four hours, we went to Metrocenter (the mall) to get lunch. I was in line for 20 minutes at Charley's Steakery, and the food was crap. Of course you can't get any decent food at a mall food court, true story. Yeah, well we did that, and then Lynn, Janelle, Donald and I just sat and talked for a bit, then went outside to wait for the bus and get on, since Latham said we needed to get on at 1, or we would be left behind. We were out there until around 1:10, and then the bus finally came. But that was of course after 5 minutes of us having to stand out in the rain. It sprinkled shortly, but right after the downpour began, and we were standing in it. We got back and had to start getting ready for the concert (getting in our concert attire), then had to run over to the auditorium, because the stupid rain apparently didn't feel like letting up for us to get over there, all the way across Moon Valley's campus. I guess the concert wasn't too bad. Oh, and I was rather happy about my seating. I got third chair, Apollo took 4 out of the top 5 chairs. Lynn made section leader, Rebecca second, and I was third, then Abby was fifth. I'd like to point out at school Latham made Abby concert master, first chair of the first violins, pretty much head of the entire orchestra. At school she's first, Becca is third and I'm fourth, with Lynn in fifth. Yet we (mainly Lynn and I, we're staging a coup) managed to get ahead of her. And this, might I also add, if probably because Latham didn't seat the violins, the Thunderbird director did, since he's a string expert (nearly all the other school directors are band, including Latham), so there was no bias whatsoever on seating. Enough on that though, I'm just sore from all of that. Another note: I turned 18 finally. By birthday was the 23rd, of November of course, and I finally turned 18. It was rather pleasant I guess. My aunt took me to the Science Center to see the Titanic exhibit. Then she took me out to Sweet Tomato's for dinner. And my other grandma, the one I don't live with, brought a cake over and we had cake. Then I had pie. That was that. Over.Me.Blogging.For now. |
